The Trends and Challenges for Christian Singles in 2025
Why does meeting new people in my life season get more difficult?
Short answer? Comfort.
In our 20s we ‘re eager to get out of life under our parents’ care and experience independence and freedom! But in our 30s and 40s, life gets comfortable with our more stable careers, homes, and services.
In the words of C.S. Lewis:
“It would seem that Our Lord finds our desires not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea.
We are far too easily pleased.”
Consider your social life in the last year. maybe you once had higher standards, ambitions, even hope.. but now you’re well aware of the challenges of making fresh, high-value connections with genuine people…who are single…who share your values…who are attractive…who choose growth over accepting the cultural norms, and most importantly have a higher purpose and calling than anything this earth provides us with.
When is the last time you met someone like that on a dating app?
Even though 2020 was almost FIVE years ago, it forever shaped the relationship scene. App usage skyrocketed 20% reaching $3.08 billion in revenue. Tinder recorded its highest swiping day ever, with 3 billion swipes in one day. Although many still remain on the apps, the satisfaction rates continue to dwindle…and I’m sure you know why, especially for the Christian.
But the pandemic didn’t just shape our dating lives, it shaped our entire social engagement.
Our offices became virtual, our shopping primarily shifted to online, and our places of worship, fitness, and learning shifted as well. Along with the shift towards physical isolation rose depression, anxiety, obesity, addiction, avoidance, and isolation. I’ve watched people walk around with the remnants of these symptoms for the last three years.
Thankfully, I’ve seen a shift out of this “small world” thinking and living with a push to more in-person connections and risk-taking.
As a licensed counselor, I’ve observed that people are choosing to make the shift due in part to the reality: “the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of changing.” Many seem to be a bit more willing to take a risk and try something new…to create lasting memories and build connections with others willing to take that same risk.
The current challenge as Christians?
We know how foundational our faith is to how we live. It’s how we make decisions, plan our lives, give our time, finances, resources…it shapes us to our core -and let’s be honest, an app just can’t measure that.
Enter INVITO…
Curated Group [Blind] Date Dinners for Christian Singles.
Invito invites you to ditch the algorithm and trust a group of Christian licensed relationship counselors and coaches to connect you with your people!
“Your People” are those who you can be yourself around…who love you for you, and like you enough to challenge you to stay faithful.
One challenge we see as Christian singles answer God’s calling on their life is they tend to move away from “their people” and other Christians in their life season, towards a career or opportunity.
Whether town, city, or state…churches and Christian organizations may have your token single rockstars but no way to connect them with one another.
And what better way to do that than over dinner?
Invito exists to connect you with our database of authentic, like-minded Christian singles with shared goals and values in hopes of matching you with your future best friend, business partner, or life partner. When you’re seated at a table with other vetted believers, the possibilities speak for themselves.
What are the trends —the INs and Outs for Christian Singles in 2025?
